Re-Ribboning brisé fans

Re-ribboning brisé fans is a "pain in the ..."
Everybody who tried it will know about it. Now, with the Corona-virus lockdown and subsequently, more time at home, I overcame my reluctance to put my patience on trial and did it. I tried (and did) repair some of my early 19th century brisé fans. As one needs a lot of time as the glue must dry before one can handle the fan again, working from home, with a little table next to it where the soon-to-be-again beauties could dry was useful. Over the last 3 weeks I did 3 fans (where only parts of the ribbon were to be restored) and one is still going on...Here is my experience fo all who want to try it as well!
